Mr. Sherr began his career as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, examining patent applications in the electrical arts. After gaining valuable experience as a patent examiner, he worked at several prominent law firms in the Washington, D.C. area. His experience includes patent prosecution, patent licensing, patent transaction, litigation management, and trademark prosecution.
He is experienced and competent in handling legal issues requiring all aspects of electrical, computer, materials, and software technologies. One unique area of technical expertise is in industry standards relating to telecommunications and digital media.
Mr. Sherr also has experience in intellectual property transactions, which benefits his clients in monetizing of their intellectual property by selling and licensing their patent portfolios. He also has in-depth experience with assisting his clients in the acquisition of intellectual property to minimize patent infringement exposure. This expertise includes an in depth knowledge of contract law as it relates to intellectual property transactions.
