Mr. Jiang began his career as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), where he evaluated patent applications for patentability in the field of digital and pulse communications, such as spread spectrum systems, receivers (demodulators), transmitters (modulators), transceivers, modems, equalizers, synthesizers and various modulation schemes. He also previously worked at the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences of the USPTO.
Mr. Jiang's present responsibilities involve counseling clients on worldwide acquisition, prosecution and policing of patents in the electrical, telecommunication, electro-mechanical, semiconductor, mechanical, optics and imaging, printers, automotive electronics, motor components, and computer software arts.
Mr. Jiang has extensive prosecution expertise in various technologies such as flat panel displays, cellular telephonic equipment/systems and telecommunication protocols including GSM and CDMA, networking standards including ZIGBEE, IEEE 802.11, and OpenCable/Tru2Way interactive digital cable, GUI interfaces, printers and xerographic technology. Mr. Jiang has prosecuted patent applications pertaining to telecommunication components/networks/equipment, all types of flat panel displays, memory devices, printers, imaging systems and computers.
